Peace Coffeehouse: The Journey of Puerto Rico, a colony of the USA

At Canisius College – Science Hall (convenient parking on Main near Delavan). Speakers Alberto O. Cappas (Poet, Writer, Publisher, and Community Activist; Co-publisher of the  Buffalo Latino Village), and  Christian Parra (community activist and Field Organizing Manager for PUSH Buffalo),  will share info and inspiration re colonialism, Puerto Rico and the current political climate. Alberto was born in Puerto Rico and has had a long and many faceted career between NYC and Buffalo.

Christian is a devoted and energetic organizer and Latinx activist, working for sustainable housing, racial and economic equity, and a just transition to a society and a world that works for everyone. Originally from the Bronx, he’s a Buffalonian now!
