at RUST BELT BOOKS, 415 GRANT ST, BUFFALO 6:00pm to 9:30pm

The Formation of First Workers’ State

This is the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution of 1917, when the workers and peasants of Russia overthrew their ruling class and established a revolutionary socialist workers government. It spread to all the nationalities that had been brutally oppressed by the czar st empire.

These events ignited 100 years of global revolution that helped create the conditions for, and gave material, military and economic aid to, liberation movements and revolutions in Africa, Asia and Latin America, including the Cuban Revolution of 1959.

This forum — WHICH WE WILL WATCH LIVE FROM NYC — will bring together activists to shed some light on the true nature of the Russian Revolution and of socialism, which has been misrepresented for far too long.  Far from being the destructive event of establishment lore, it proved that it was possible to run society without capitalists.
